In the method of administering this code, account ledgers are grouped into several groups and each group provided a block of sequential numbers to give the codes. The use of code numbers blog can address the code numbers sort, which in case of extensions of the classification at one account resulted in code changes all the account code is greater than the account code underwent an expansion. To deal with the possibility of extensions of the account, in each block of numbers provided numbers perlunasan backup account that will only affect the granting of an account code in the block in question.

An example code block numbers are applied in the account ledgers. Ledger accounts are classified into groups and each group provided a block of sequential numbers, as follows
.

1 -24      : current assets
25-39     : long-term investments
40-69     : intangible fixed assets
70-79     : Intangible Assets

400-449 : earnings outside the business
450-499 : the cost of outside business
500        : loss of profit

The details of the order and account code by using the code numbers of the block, as follows.
1-24 : current assets

The following characteristics of the giving of the code numbers of the block.
  1. Account coded with sequential numbers block numbers from small to large numbers.
  2. The number of number of digits in the code is not the same.
  3. Expansion of the classification in an account by providing a backup number accommodated within each block that is expected to experience an expansion of the classification.
>> Group numerical code
Code figure group is formed of two or more sub-code are combined into a single code. The following characteristics of the code numbers of the group.
  1. Account coded numbers or combinations of numbers and letters.
  2. The number of numbers and/or letters in the code is fixed.
  3. The position of numbers and/or letters in the code to have him.
  4. Eexpansion of the classification is done by giving the reserves numbers and/or letters to the right.
> > Code decimal digits
Decimal means kesepuluhan. Code decimal number giving the code numbers against the classification divides the group into subgroups and maximum 10 splits the subgroup to a maximum of 10 smaller groups from the subgroup. The following code example decimal digits.

1    : Preparation
1.1 : Inventory of spare parts
1.2 : supplies helper
1.3 : Preparation of raw materials
1.4 : Miscellaneous Supplies:

Supplies of raw materials are divided into a maximum of 10 groups, namely:
1.3.1 : wood raw material
1.3.2 : raw material cane dregs
1.3.3 : straw raw materials
1.3.4 : bamboo raw material
1.3.9 : raw materials etc.

Supply of wood is divided into a maximum of 10 groups, namely:
1.3.1.1  : raw materials fibre length Ex Japan
1.3.1.2  : raw materials fibre length Ex USA
1.2.1.3  : raw materials fibre length Ex Brasilia
1.2.1.4  : short fiber raw material Ex Japan
1.2.1.5  : short fiber raw material Ex USA
1.2.1.6  : short fiber raw material Ex Brasilia
1.2.1.7  : wood fibre raw materials etc.

The following characteristics of the grant code decimal digits.
  1. Account coded with numbers that are sequential numbers from small to large numbers.
  2. The number of digits or digit in the code is not the same. Large numbers have a number of classifications are less compared to the classification of the details.
  3. Expansion of the classification on an account is done with maximum resolution of no more than 10. Granting of extension code is done by adding 1 point on the right.
>> Numerical sequence preceded by an alphabetic reference
This method uses the code in the form of a combination of numbers and letters. Each was given a code number that his face imprinted letter stands for a group of accounts.
Example:
101  : current assets
112  : Assets do not smoothly
245  : Capital

Of several kinds of methods can be used to provide the account code on a ledger, then in terms of administering the account code must be taken into account several things, as follows:
  1. Granting code should logically meet the needs of users of data processing and methods used.
  2. Any code should represent a uniquely coded elements.
  3. The design of the code should be easily adapted to the demands of change.
