60,000 Chinese Soldiers plant a tree in the interior

The Chinese Government deployed 60,000 troops to plant trees. Planting was done in an effort to combat pollution and improve the forest coverage in the country.

The China Daily Newspaper said the goal is to raise the percentage of planting forests China from 21 to 23 percent in 2030. In 2035 the vast forests targeted to 26 percent of the vast country.

"Companies, organizations and people who specialize in greening are welcome to join in the massive afforestation campaign in this country," said the head of the Forestry Administration of China Zhang Jianlong.
